He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Hendrix and Beatrice Hendrix; and his siblings, Mildred Louise Oldham, Daniel Willie Hendrix and Joseph Wesley Hendrix.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Ann Hendrix of Sarah and Jonas Matthew Hendrix of Sarah; his siblings, Frances Boling of Strayhorn, Gladys Glaser of Sarah, David Roscoe Hendrix of Ashland and Samuel Steven Hendrix of Ripley; his grandchildren, Tiffani Hudspeth (Dusty) of Askew, Jasmine Wooten of Strayhorn and Gabby Wooten of Strayhorn; and his great grandchildren, Brenton Hudspeth and Dysen Hudspeth of Askew.
