He was predeceased by: his father Deacon Alcee; and his siblings, Edna Ree Gholar, Alcee Gholar Jr., Larry Gholar and Thomas Barnes.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Gholar; and his children, Broderick Gholar (La'Wanda) of Jackson, Jimmy L. Gholar (ReKesha) of Jackson, Erica Gholar of Richland and Whitney Yarbourgh of Tylertown. He is also survived by grandchildren, two (2) great grandchildren, six (6) brothers and two (2) sisters, and host of other relatives.
