He was predeceased by: his wife Sophie Mae "Billie" Hickson; his parents, Vennie Ann and Robert Lee Hickson; and his siblings, Leonard Hickson, Howard Hickson, Charlie Hickson and Martha Francis Leggett.
He is survived by: his sister Mary Ainsworth of Sandersville; his children, Michael Wesley Hickson Sr. (Shelia) of Sandersville, Beverly Lynn Dabbs of Sandersville, Marilyn Joyce Thornton (Marty) of Sandersville and Misty Lee Jameson (Andy) of Greenwood, SC; his grandchildren, Chasity Goldman (Tracy) of Sandersville, MS, Angie Dyess (Brannon) of Moss, MS, Robert Cole Walker (Vanessa) of Meridian, MS, Le'Ann Allen (Duane) of Sandersville, MS, Michael Wesley Hickson Jr. of Phoenix, AZ, John Aaron Hickson of Sandersville, MS, Daniel Hickson of Sandersville, MS and Sophia Jameson of Greenwood, SC; and his great grandchildren, Gavin Goldman, Allie Goldman, Daylan Dyess, Caleb Dyess, Landry Dyess, Elizabeth Allen, Victoria Allen, Mercedes Allen, Elijah Allen, Alice Allen, Cade Walker, Owen Walker and Olivia Hickson.
