She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Smothers and Vicki Rogers Smothers; her husbands, Prentiss Edge, John Martin and David Nichols; and her siblings, Paul Smothers, Charles Smothers, Billy Joe Smothers and Alta Brazel.

She is survived by: her children, Betty Hampton of Saltillo, Earl Edge (Connie) of Guntown, Carolyn Edge of Guntown, Robert Edge (Brenda) of Guntown, Michael Edge of Guntown, Lisa Taylor (David) of Saltillo and Teresa Phillips (Kenny) of Pontotoc. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and two nephews.
