He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Frank Ethridge and Ruby Jewel Watson Ethridge; his wife Frances Taylor; and his brothers, Frank, Rubin, Jewel and Russell Ethridge.

He is survived by: his sons, Anthony Ethridge (Suzette) of Saltillo, Bill Ethridge (Melissa) of Mooreville and Bruce Ethridge (Stephenie) of New Albany; his grandchildren, Kelsie Hankins (Andy) of Mooreville, Taylor Witt (Stuart) of Mooreville, Cambron Myers (Jimmy) of Saltillo, Erik Ethridge (Kayla) of Dorsey, Zach Ethridge of Alabama, Raven Ethridge of Water Valley, Brooke Embrey (Justin) of Golden and Megan Hare of Mantachie; and his sister Patricia Ann Kennedy (Kemp) of New Albany. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.
