She was predeceased by: her parents, James Leon Cates, Sr. and Viola Elizabeth Smith Cates; her son Clarence Ray LaCroix, Jr.; her siblings, James Leon Cates Jr. and Nell Ray; and her brothers-in-law, Fred LaCroix and Max Pickett.

She is survived by: her husband Clarence LaCroix; her children, Deborah Lansdell (Hermon) and Donald LaCroix (Donna); her siblings, Martha LaCroix (Snookie), Jean Pickett and Robert Cates (Sheryl); her siblings-in-law, Russell Ray and Ruby Barber; her grandchildren, Kyle LaCroix (Jordan), Ryan LaCroix (Maddie), Lisa Lansdell and Shawn Lansdell; her stepgrandsons, Michael Lansdell (Nancy) and Kevin Lansdell (Julie); her great grandchildren, Ian Lansdell and Chloe Grace Lansdell; and her sister-in-law Pat Cates. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
