With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rebecca Johnson of Saltillo, Mississippi, who passed away on July 6, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Rebecca's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Rebecca has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Whitt Poteet and Fern Stephens Poteet; and her husband Murel Johnson. She is survived by: her sons, Chet Johnson (Sherry) of Huntsville, AL and Cotton Johnson (Michelle) of Nettleton; her granddaughters, Katie Creel (Stevie) of Trussville, AL and Maddie Johnson of Nettleton; her great grandchild Anna Kate Tillman of Trussville; and her sisters, Susie Mansell of Tupelo and Baby Dear McKay of Lansing, MI. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
