He was predeceased by: his son Todd Payne; his parents, James Payne and Laura Lee "Nanny" Payne; and his siblings, Tommy Payne, Peanut Payne and Jean Dunbar.
He is survived by: his sons, Chad Payne (Rhonda) of Ecru, Perry Payne Jr. (Kelly) of Pontotoc and James Cotton of California; his sister Judy Humphries of Hamilton; and his grandchildren, Devin Forman, Dustin Cox, Aaden, Kenzie Payne and Zach Rock. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
