He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence "Bill" McKissick and Lila Mullenix McKissick; his wife Bonnie McKissick; and his sisters, Sharon McKissick and Betty Jo Stacks.

He is survived by: his daughter Barbara Bennett of Saltillo; his son-in-law Greg Bennett; his grandchildren, Nathan, Alex, Andy, Annabella and Matt Bennett; and his siblings, Corinne Keith (Kenny) of Belden and Billy McKissick (Faye) of Iuka.
