He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Grady and Georgia Anna Horton Franks; his wife Lois Franks; his daughter Lois Jeanine Franks; and his grandson Thom Franks.
He is survived by: his sons, Tommy Franks (Carin) and Richard Franks; his sisters, Janis Cherry of Saltillo and Faye Pyle of Hackleburg; and his grandchildren, Tyler Cameron, Sydney Franks, Rick Berteau and Ken Berteau. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
