Dorathy Bass Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorathy Bass (Saltillo, Mississippi), who passed away on August 23, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry Tackett and Dora Mae Tackett; her husband James Edward Bass; and her brothers, Bobby Tackett of Michigan, William Tackett of Florida, Leon Tackett of Tupelo and Johnny Tackett of Pontotoc.

She is survived by: her children, James Kenneth Bass (Angie) of Tupelo, Rev. Cecil Bass (Terri) of Saltillo, Brenda Wright (Randy) of Saltillo, Julie Koon of Saltillo and Kathy Black (John) of Tupelo; and her brother David Tackett (Judy) of Lake City, Arkansas. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
