He was predeceased by: his parents, James Howard and Billy Sue Green Howard. He is survived by: his wife Belinda Howard; his sons, Joseph of Joshua, BJ and Rusty Howard; and his siblings, Ricky Howard, Ronnie Howard, Jonnie Howard, Scottie Gray, Debbie Lynn Parker and Lynn Pounders. He is also survived by three beautiful grandchildren.
