She was predeceased by: her husband Pete Maxie; and her parents, Jerry Earl Rutland and Ramona Townsend Rutland. She is survived by: her children, Shannon Maxie (Dehna) of Bogue Chitto, MS, Jenny Gomez (Tony) of Ruth, MS, Charra Coleman (Brad) of Ruth, MS and Mona Usher (Mike) of Fredericksburg, TX; her grandchildren, Rena Gomez, Brooke Cothern (Nick), Kinley Coleman, Devan Kent (Brandon), Lauren Coghlan, Steven Maxie, George Maxie, Brynn Hazelett, Christine Freitag (Aimee) and Ryan Usher; and her close friend Claude "Tinker" Cate. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Providence Baptist Church (75 Providence Rd, Jayess, MS 39641). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery (75 Providence Rd, Jayess, MS 39641).
