He is survived by: his parent Lucy Barnes Burkett; his siblings, Billy Ray Burkett (Delores) of Marietta, GA, Judy Burkett Smyly (Gary) of Columbia, MS and JoAnn Burkett Thomas of Starkville, MS.; his wife Ruth Skinner Smith Burkett; his children, James Bradley Burkett (Tonya) of Decatur, GA, Ronald Jeffrey Smith (Rachel) of Meridian, MS, Benjamin Price Burkett (Donna) of Starkville, MS, Susan Burkett Toney (Steve) of Raymond, MS and Rhonda Smith Locke (Marcus) of Maben, MS.; his grandchildren, Ryan Jeffrey Smith, Joseph Aaron Noll, Rhett Bergin Smith, Benjamin Lee Toney, Jackson Avery Noll and Allison Victoria Toney; and also Ruth Ann.
