She was predeceased by: her parents, James Townsend and Jennie Greer Townsend-Davis; her husband Gordon Lane Rutland; her son Timothy Lane Rutland; and her siblings, Ramona Rutland and James Riley Townsend.
She is survived by: her children, Gordon A. Rutland of Ruth, MS and Jennifer Sikes (Kevin) of Monticello, MS; her grandchildren, Gage Brister (Rachel) and Grace Sikes Viniard (Dalton); her great grandchild Noah Gage Brister of Monticello, MS; and her brother Charles Nicholson Davis of Brookhaven, MS. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
