It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Grimes (Ruth, Mississippi), who passed away on May 13, 2018, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son James Larry Grimes; and her brother Marvin Thompson. She is survived by: her children, Grover Bruce Grimes and Anita Grimes Wallace; her sister Pearl Thompson McCullough; her grandchildren, Fred Wallace, III, Stacey Wallace Egan, Larra Grimes Byrd, Lance Grimes, Lana Grimes Brown, Lindi Grimes Delaughter, Joseph Grimes and Hallie Grimes Waldrep; her great grandchildren, Lexi Byrd, Allie Byrd, Jackson Byrd, Gracie Grimes, Abagail Grimes, Molly Grimes, Kalen Brown, Matthew Brown, Emma Brown, John Daniel Delaughter, Vivian Delaughter, Greer Egan, Hadley Egan, Griffin Egan, Lance Grimes, Charlotte Waldrep and Isabella Waldrep; and her great great grandchild Avalyn May. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
