George M. Simmons Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 5, 2024, at the age of 80, George M. Simmons of Ruth, Mississippi, born in Murphysboro, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Simmons and Cora Mildred Simmons of Springfield, IL; his sister Mary Ellen Guinan of Auburn, IL; and his son Geoffrey Brian Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Brown Simmons; his daughters, Stephanie Simmons Zenow (Eric) of Naperville, IL and Alisa Colleen Simmons of Naperville, IL; his grandchildren, Anna Grace Zenow and George Wesley Zenow; and his sister Martha Simmons Lovett (Richard) of Benton, Kentucky. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and treasured next-door neighbors and friends.
