He was predeceased by: his parents, P. A. Kendall and Mamie Kendall; his wife Joyce Kendall; and his siblings, Maxine K Timms, Linda K Lindsey and Wilburn Kendall.
He is survived by: his children, James Kendall Jr. (Lydia) of Boyle, MS, Jackie Finley (Gerald) of Cleveland, MS and Joette Holland (Don) of Biloxi, MS.; his grandchildren, Dr. Brent Roberts (Kristen) of Boyle, MS, Kendall Deel (Ricky) of Madison, MS, Virginia Lauren Kendall Mitchell (Andrew) of Starkville, MS, Shelby K Branning (Dustin) of Brandon, MS and Joely K Holland of Biloxi, MS; his great grandchildren, Eleanor Jane Branning, Amelia Claire Branning, Dakota Deel, Zoey, Ainsley Deel, Addilyn James Deel, Berchman Delahoussaye, Archer Delahoussaye, Cassidy Wilson and Preston Brent Roberts; and his caregivers, Ollie Smith, Shirley Moore and Tara Cooper.
