It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dora Schmidt Hester of Roxie, Mississippi, born in Tylertown, Mississippi, who passed away on January 15, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, E. J. "Bud" Schmidt of Bude and Katherine Schmidt of Baton Rouge; and her sister Beth Boyd of Baton Rouge. She is survived by: her children, Tammy Fairburn of Monticello, Vicki King (Rusty) of Roxie and Eddie Hester (Kristi) of Oldenburg; and her grandchildren, Lacey Barfoot, Matt Deer, Hannah Herrington, Logan King, Chloe King, Emily Hester and Anna Kate Hester.
