It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Preston Lewis of Rose Hill, Mississippi, who passed away at the age of 81, on January 9, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Lewis and Leila Lewis (Ulmer); and his siblings, Carl Lewis, Leonard Lewis, Tommy Lewis, James Lewis, Emily Hamrick, Leila Ruth Lewis, Christine Owens, Dorothy English and Martha Jane Wilburn.
He is survived by: his sister Sue Morris (J. B.); his children, Timothy Lewis (Debby), Tony Lewis (Jessica), Terry Mitchell Hicks, Rusty Dickinson, Carl Lewis and Elwanda Lewis (Wade); and his sister-in-law Diane Lewis. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Wesley Independent Methodist Church. A graveside service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at the Pleasant Grove Memorial Cemetery (433 Co Rd 5133, Rose Hill, MS 39356).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the building fund for Wesley Independent Methodist Church.
