He was predeceased by: his parents, Tracy Cotton and Effie Lee Cotton (Sims); and his son Jeff Cotton. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Cotton; his children, Jerry Cotton, Jr., Michael Cotton, Travis Cotton (Angie) and Barbara Cotton Lewis (David); his grandchildren, Brandon Jones (Leslie), Megan Jones Morland, Christopher Cotton, Emma-Lee Cotton and Shelby Cotton; his great grandchildren, Kathlyn Jones, Collin Jones, ChrisLee Rayne Morland and Blaze Cotton; and his close friend Grace Robb.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Phalti Baptist Church.
