Thomas Eugene Bowles Sr. Obituary

Thomas Eugene Bowles, Sr. passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022. He was 86 years old.

Thomas was born May 20, 1935.

Among his many talents Tommy excelled at farming, reclining, eradicating armadillos from the family cemetery, spoiling his cows, outsmarting squirrels, storytelling, and fixing anything with a motor that he could get his hands on. He loved his alone time, charming waitresses, discussing the weather with his horse, and his family. He despised ponies, his numerous tractors (which he also loved), know-it all yankee's, lazy folks, foreign vehicles and democrats. His signature everyday look was all his: coveralls and a derringer 22. No wedding, graduation, nor his own funeral could escape them. He served proudly as a Sergent in the U.S. Marines.

He leaves his sisters Janette and Rose, his brothers Jimmy and David, his children Gabrielle, Mario and his namesake Thomas, Jr. He also leaves 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. We will remember him fondly.

A Visitation will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 5, 2022 with services starting at 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery.
