He was predeceased by: his parents, R. C. Cissom and Vera Turner Cissom; his wife Mary Elizabeth "Ruby" Heavener Cissom; and his siblings, Clara Jean Vandygriff and R. V. Cissom.
He is survived by: his children, Betty Matthews (Grady) of Middleton, TN, Jimmy Cissom (Gloria) of Walnut and Gerald Cissom (Julie) of Ripley; his grandchildren, Grady Matthews, Jr., Cindy Medlin (Mitchell), Robin Simpson (Scott Woods), Adam Cissom (Mary), Ben Boyer (Casey), Dr. Cody Cissom (Allie) and Jake Cissom (Lauren); and his close friend Alice Jacobs of Oakland. He is also survived by his family and, in return his children and grandchildren.
