He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Shannon and Bessie Nance Shannon; his sister Anne Haralson; and his wife Rhonda Pannell Shannon. He is survived by: his daughter Shea (Jason Scott); his grandchildren, Robert Reed Scott and Ryan Shannon Scott; his stepdaughters, Lauren Freeman (Chris) and Liz Bailey (Matt); his stepgrandchildren, Foley, Finn Freeman, Vera and Palmer Bailey; his brother-in-law Robert H. Haralson, III; his niece Shannon Haralson Chierichella; his nephews, David Haralson and Robert Haralson; and also, Geanette Robinson and Tina Rogan.
