She was predeceased by: her parents, Waymon Carruth and Aline Carruth; her children, Jimmy Ray Rogan, Mary Porter and Cassandra Rogan; and her siblings, Josephine Storey (Joe David), Christine Barnett (Gilbert), Jesstine Cox (Jim), Fannie Tye (Guss Lee), Vannie Johnson (Bob) and Hermie D. Batie.
She is survived by: her children, Bobby Joe Rogan, Charlie Curtis Rogan, Michael "Mike" Rogan (Jo Ethyl), Lorine Pate, Linda Kay Simpson (Paul), Janice Dillard, Cheryl Johnson (Troy), Vanessa Rogan and Melissa Montgomery (Terry); her brother Sammy Carruth (late Juanita) of Grand Rapids, Michigan.; her close friend Lorene Robinson; her cousin Gladys Leatherwood; and her sisters-in-law, Patricia Rogan and Jessie Ann Rogan. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Foster & Son Funeral Home (601 S Line St, Ripley, MS 38663). The lying in state was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church (709 N Adams St, Ripley, MS 38663). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
