She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Akins and Rosa Lee Little Akins; the father of her children Arlon McKinley Lindsey; her husband Amos Churchill; her brothers, James Akins and William Buddy Akins; and her sister-in-law Jessie Faye Akins.
She is survived by: her children, Connie Ferguson (Larry), Betsy Jones (Johnny), Jackie Lindsey (Stacey) and Mickey Lindsey (Marianne); and her siblings, Jessie Ann Bramlitt (Dwight) and Troy Akins. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
She knew her Lord would carry her through, and even made an appearance on television for the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation.
