He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Smith and Sarah Smith; his wife Maxine Foster Smith; and his siblings, J. W. Smith, Pete Smith, Sammy Smith, Lucille Kerns and Coleen Red.
He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Walter Donald Foster of Hernando, MS, Barbara Kyker of Saltillo, MS and Mary Jo Hargrove of Bartlett, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Tippah Memorial Gardens (186 Dumas Rd, Ripley, MS 38663-9035).
