She was predeceased by: her parents, William Pearl McClain and Millie Wilbanks McClain; her husband Carl R. Stewart; her brother William "Buddy" McClain; and her grandson Gabriel Robinson.

She is survived by: her daughters, Alice Robinson and Dorothy Box (Jimmy) of Ripley, MS; her grandchildren, Jason Stewart of Meridian, Valarie Box of Ripley, MS and Teresa Elam of Ripley, MS; and her close friend Alvie Jones. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
