It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clyde Vernon Thompson (Ripley, Mississippi), who passed away on November 20, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfred Thompson and Emma Collins Thompson; his sisters, Audrey Huffman, Thelma Northcutt Broyles, Rilla Faye Robinson and Louise Gilbert; his grandson-in-law Dennis Lipford; and his parents-in-law, G. R. and Beatrice McCravy.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine McCravy Thompson; his children, Deborah Hurt (Ronnie) and Alan Thompson (Beverly); his grandchildren, Marty Hurt (Christy), Melissa Lipford and Tara Gaddy (Jeff); his great grandchildren, Alexis Childs (Jake), Addison Lipford, Hayden Hurt, Hana Hurt, Hadley Hurt, Alexandra Gaddy and Adam Gaddy; his great great grandchildren, Millie Childs and Clete Davis Childs; and his sisters-in-law, Bobbie Wilkerson, Viva Bostic and Shirley Massengill. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
