He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Horne Meinardi Johnson; his mother Vera Murphy Johnson; and his brother Rodger D. Johnson. He is survived by: his children, John Meinardi (Jan) of Corinth and Cheryl Shannon (Michael) of Virginia; his sisters, Frances Brasfield-Tigrett of Pisgah and Lethal Dotson of Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Jessica Garland (Darren), Kelsey Meinardi of Corinth and Aaron Meinardi; and his great grandchildren, Airmen, Class, Logan Garland of Langley, VA and Landen Garland of Stuart, FL. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
