He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyman Burge and Cornelia Ann Barbour Mitchell; his wife Jane Savage Mitchell; and his siblings, Lyman Burge Mitchell Jr. and Margaret Mitchell.
He is survived by: his children, Tricey Mitchell and Tim Mitchell (Stacey); his grandchildren, Logan Mitchell (Olivia) and Dalton Mitchell (Lilly); and his caregiver Renea Johnson.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Magnolia Funeral Home - South (741 US-45, Corinth, MS 38834). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a contribution in his memory to Pinevale Children's Home (1872 CR 700 Corinth, MS 38834).
