He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilda Grigsby and Harold Grigsby; his sister Zoe Grigsby Wood; and his wife Carol Ann Statham Grigsby. He is survived by: his nephew Josh Statham; his niece Leslie Easterling; his close friend Mary Tina Smith; and his godchildren, Sharon Colleen Coker and Adam Bradley Smith.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at the Parkway Funeral Home & Cemetery (1161 Highland Colony Pkwy, Ridgeland, MS 39157).
