With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Marie Black (Ridgeland, Mississippi), who passed away on February 23, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Doris Marie leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She is survived by: her husband Elmer Black; her daughter Marjorie (Carter); her grandchildren, Spencer (Jasmine), Rachel (Baylor) and Jacob; her great grandchild Jeremy; and her brother Pete. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1301 Pinehaven Dr, Clinton, MS 39056).
