He is survived by: his wife Diane McLain of Richton; his daughters, Charlotte Sullivan (Marsus) of Richton, Charlene Walley (Troy) of Richton, Donna McLain (James Wayne Dykes) of Richton, Terra Whatley (Ben) of Richton and Allison McLain of Richton; his siblings, Wiley Earl "Buck" McLain (Wanda) of Vancleave, Robert Dale McLain (Linda) of Sand Hill and Genevive Guy of Sand Hill; and his grandchildren, Hallie Herring (Cody), Allen Sullivan (Olivia), Jonathan Malone (Amanda), Jessica Young (Clint), Justin Walley, Courtney Williams (Duston), Jacob Brunson, Zachary Landrum (Crystal), Katelyn Landrum, Dylan Lambert and Hanna Lambert. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
