He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Forrester Palmer; his parents, Ulmer Palmer and Emma Lois Byrd Palmer; his grandparents, Willis and Willie Mae Byrd; his son Ulmer Laverne "Bubba" Palmer, Jr.; his brother John Arthur Palmer; and his granddaughter Madison Stanphill.
He is survived by: his daughters, Liz Edwards (Glenn) of Hattiesburg and Cathy Beasley (Danny) of Greene County; his stepsons, Chris Stanphill (Julie) of Leakesville and Luke Stanphill of Oregon; and his nephew David Palmer (Angela) of Ft. Worth. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
