She was predeceased by: her parents, Orman Cox and Hilda Cox; her husband George Posey; and her siblings, Shirley Weatherford, Carolyn Chapman, Willie Ross Deweese, Mary Ann Cobb, Cliff and Robert Cox.
She is survived by: her daughter SuzAnne Thoms (Hugh) of Richton; her grandchildren, Taylor Thoms of Metairie and Parker Thoms of Richton; and her caregiver Loretta Odom. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
