He was predeceased by: his wife Janice Brewer; his parents, William Melton and Margie Brewer; his son Pettis Dexter "Debo" Brewer; and his siblings, Talmadge Brewer, Dempsey Brewer and Hester Brewer.
He is survived by: his sons, Douglas Brewer (Katren) of Richton, Dempsey Brewer (Karen) of Richton and Darrell Brewer (Joanna) of Petal; his daughter-in-law Tina Cook Brewer of Saucier; and his siblings, Wallace Brewer of Sand Hill and Dimple Lollis of Lucedale. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
