He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Byrd and Emma Byrd; his son Robert Travis Byrd; and his brothers, Joe Byrd, Dan Byrd and Robert Byrd, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Aldie Byrd of Richton; his sons, Mack A. Byrd, Jr. (Karen) of Neely and Roy Byrd (Sue Ann) of Richton; his brother Jack Byrd (Ora) of San Antonio, TX; his grandchildren, Jessica Temple (Clayton), Lindsey Freeman (Donovan), Travis Jones, Morgan Freeman (Tommy) and Nathan Byrd; and his great grandchildren, Emma Temple, Eli Temple, Will Freeman and Joel Freeman.
