She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Smith and Gladys Smith; her son Jimmy Newell; and her siblings, Wayburn, Wallace, Kenny, Stan, Mack, Verl, Charles Thomas, Audrey, Joy, Ann, Catrina and Lurene.
She is survived by: her sons, Tim Wise of Richton, Don Wise (Ann) of Mandeville, LA and Johnny Newell of Richton; her grandchildren, Catherine Wise Chandler (Jamie), Jennifer Kay Wise, Mark Wise (Lisa), Chris Blum (Sarina), David A. Newell and John A. Newell; her great grandchildren, Brody, Taylor, Mandy and Frances; and her siblings, Dwight Smith (Diane), Mitchell Smith (Diane) and Lanay Harvill (John).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jones & Son Funeral Home-Richton (104 Cypress St, Richton, MS 39476). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
