He was predeceased by: his former wife Luegene "Dolly" Thompson; his parents, Fred Thompson and Emma Thompson; his siblings, Jimmy Ray Thompson, Mickie Thompson, Willie Thompson, Pearlie Mae Holliman and Mary Alice Clark; and his grandmother Mae Sykes.
He is survived by: his wife Nellie Thompson of Beaumont; his daughters, Charlotte Holifield (Richard) of Ellisville, Annette Gieger (D. L.) of Laurel and Linda Stroud (Tony) of Beaumont; and his siblings, Henry Thompson of Richton, Freddie Thompson of Richton, Odis Thompson of Richton and Mary Lee Dupree of Houma, LA. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
