He is survived by: his wife Doris Hammonds; his sons, Joe Hammonds of Richton, Jay Hammonds (Malorie) of Houston, TX and Gene Hammonds (Jessica) of Hattiesburg; and his brothers, Larry Hammonds (Cathi) of Vancleave and Ricky Hammonds (Liz) of Laurel. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
