She was predeceased by: her parents, Murdock L. Smith and Myrtle Browder Smith. She is survived by: her husband James K. Vardaman Hillman (Vard) of Leakesville; her sons, Joe Henry Hillman and Charles Franklyn Hillman (Sheila); her grandchildren, Phillip Lance Hillman (Sharon), Kathryn Laine Hillman Welch and James Lyle Hillman; her great grandchildren, Cade Hillman, Garrett Hillman, Jamie Lynn Hillman, Kole Franklyn Welch and Christian Silas Welch; her siblings, Mildred Smith Davidson (Bob), Betty Lou Smith Fleming (Max), Billy G. Smith (Charlsie) and Jimmy R. Smith (Marilyn); and her son Richard Smith.
