He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred R. Sanderson and Nancy Sanderson; his wife Shirley Viola Brooks Sanderson; his son John Darin Sanderson; his grandchildren, John Douglas Sanderson, Ryan Lee and Brooke Sanderson; and his siblings, Marge Saxon, Doris Brock and H. B. Sanderson.
He is survived by: his children, Rusty Sanderson, Nancy Childers (Darrell), Rae Flanagan (Robert) and Dottie Lee (Johnny); and his grandsons, Matthew Sanderson, Nigel Childers, Keegan Childers, Adam Lee, Christopher Flanagan, Seren Childers, Christopher Lee and Robert Ogden. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
