He was predeceased by: his parents, James Echols and Bessie Echols; and his brothers, Henery James Echols (Alberta) and Archie Echols. He is survived by: his wife Lillie May Echols of Red Banks, MS; his daughter Evonne Marie Hale of Mt. Pleasant, MS; his stepchildren, Reginald Dowdy (Demetra) of Byhalia, MS, Sharonda Dowdy of Horn Lake, MS, Shavonda Dowdy of Horn Lake, MS and Ralana Dowdy-Jackson (Larry) of Michigan City, MS; his grandchildren, Trey Dowdy, Montavies Dowdy, Mikayla Dowdy, Bryson Obaieh and Ladderrick Dowdy; and his siblings, Lula Echols of Memphis, TN, Oscar Echols (Lyn) of Memphis, TN, Laura Echols of Byhalia, MS, Laverne Echols of Memphis, TN, Robert Riley, James Earl Nabors, Clyde and B. Rayford. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
