He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucile Clark Hickey and J. T. Hickey; and his siblings, Rusty, Randy, Jean, Connie and Carol.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean; his sons, Frank Hickey (Kathy), Chris Hickey and Heath Thompson; his stepsons, David Hollis (Felicia), Scott Hollis (Marlo) and Brock Hollis (Gina); his pet Tippy; and his niece Tammy Helms. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews.
