It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vinson McNeil of Raleigh, Mississippi, born in Bay Springs, Mississippi, who passed away on September 5, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. McNeil and Pauline Sykes McNeil; and his siblings, Mitchell McNeil and Margaret McNeil. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Gaye Thornton McNeil; his sons, Geoffrey McNeil and Stacey McNeil (Lynnette); his grandchildren, Tyler McNeil (Aubrey), Amree McNeil Herrmann and Thornton McNeil; his siblings, Edison McNeil (Janet), Kathy Pugh (Randy) and Cindy Bass (Carey); and his sister-in-law Linda Townsend.
