He is survived by: his wife Sherry Jackson Ely; his sons, Lee Wess Ely (Tonja) and Samuel Martin Ely; his grandchildren, Mabry Ely Dennis (Jamie) and Lee Wess Ely III (Kaylan); his great grandchildren, Ely James Dennis, Easton Luke Dennis, Waylon Daniel Ely and Malia Jane Ely; his sister Rachel Ely Winter (George Wayne); and his sisters-in-law, Beverly Morris Ely and Martha Trimm Ely. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
