He was predeceased by: his parents, John Paul and Cora Josephine Garner; and his brother Joe Lavan Garner, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Mava Garner; his daughters, Lana Blackwell and Lynne Buckner (Danny); his grandchildren, Ashley Karel (Allen), Allison Landers (Scott) and Aaron Dwight Buckner; his great grandchildren, Mary Daves, James Walton, John Wilson Karel, Mason Griffith, Bryleigh Nicole and Jacob Paul Landers; and his sisters, Peggy Ivy (Bob) and Jane Garner. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
