He is survived by: his children, Ruth Hayes (George) of Taylorsville, Abigail Crosby (Samuel) of Hattiesburg, Mary Alice Nanney of Colorado, Tim Bowen (Melinda) of Raleigh, Eddie Bowen (Sherrie) of Raleigh, Carlie Bowen (Charolette) of Raleigh, David Bowen (Lana) of Brandon and Johnathan Bowen (Miriam) of Lena. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
