She was predeceased by: her husband Tommy Joe Sykes; and her parents, Quitman Thompson and Katherine Rodriguez Thompson. She is survived by: her daughter Betty Ann Middleton (James Parker); her grandchildren, Jessica Hendrix and Ramsey Middleton; her great grandchildren, Zoey Kayt, Koltyn and Kastyn Hendrix; and her siblings, Pasty Rayner (Rufus) and Detrick Thompson (Becky).
